Player of Games meets Snowcrash in an alternate universe seven generations in the future. A global crypto token dominates the world from the island of Char, and is controlled by legacy magnates and sentient trading AI. It is also a nation that is slowly being swallowed by the rising sea. The powerful have little interest in saving the island, and squeeze its people, along with the global economy, for everything they can as it all falls apart.
